In the studio

Like a mound, of unfettered voyages, seeking flight, and fancy.

Inspiration can come from anywhere, anytime, take this cluster of postcards; ripe randomness ready and willing, like a loving brotherly photo of Arnold and Willis from Diff'rent Strokes or a vacationing couple in Hawaii playing golf, taken minutes before a volcano off shore violently erupts destroying nearby towns, palms, and golf courses.  Luckily the couple survives the eruption, only to die in the plane crash home. Tragedy, you might think?  What if I told you their little fun in the sun vacation was but part of a scheming elaborate plan unfolding successfully. A leave-the-country-while-things-cooled-down-for-the-robbery-and-murder-of-three-long-time-business-partners-in-prestigious-financial-firm-plan.
Much of inspiration, I find, is about leaving the sails open and susceptible to the currents of a moment.  Allowing whatever you're sensing to come in and let your imagination coast away.

Point of danger. Sharks patrol these waters. Ready a life boat.

Things that don't normally happen #1

Marta was on her way to work, talking to her friend on the phone when from behind a tall building she catches eye of a enormous rabbit.

seeing sexy swirls again

Made this postcard ditty several years ago but came upon it recently while chancing through some files.  Still attracted to swirly lines I am.

Mike Watt w Split Red

My friends band, Split Red, is proudly opening up for bad-ass bassist Mike WaTT!  Yeah they're excited and I'm excited for them.  Here's a flyer I made advertising the upcoming show on April 2nd.
